Facebook not quite telling the truth about the Skype friend finder

At the top of my Facebook newsfeed today, I saw the picture below. It
said that three of my friends including my partner had used the Skype
friend finder to find friends. I thought “that’s a bit odd, she never
uses skype” so I asked and she said she hadn’t.

So Facebook, you be lying!

Magic Trackpad with Windows

to get an Apple Magic Trackpad to work with Windows:

@John Stathakis All you need is the Apple Magic Trackpad Update 1.0
for Windows, from apple’s site, and a copy of 7-zip. Extract the
contents of the exe, then extract the contents of the MSP file inside.
There is a driver in one folder titled something like
“Binary.AppleWirelessTrackpad_Bin”. Add .exe on the end of it, and run
it and it will install the driver. Worked for me.

Otieno, a powerful play in London ending soon that you really should see!

I’m no theatre critic but I had to make this post about a play I saw today named Otieno. It was simply the most atmospheric, engaging and heart twisting play i have ever seen. Being skeptical at first, Southwark playhouse’s location in arches beneath London Bridge station proved to be exceptionally dramatic. Clever, directed low lighting adds a sense of isolation and forces the viewer to be utterly immersed in the events unfolding. The casting too was superb, with the powerful characters of Otieno and Ian coming across especially convincingly, so much so that I felt a little nervous when seeing them at the bar afterwards. The script is an original piece that revolves around the time of the recent Zimbabwean elections but does well to avoid a perhaps clichéd plot line based on the nasty particulars of Mugabe that we are now often familiar with. I’ve never written about a play before but this is simply too good to miss! The tickets are very reasonably priced (£8-£18) and the location is easy to get to (about 2min from London Bridge station).
